I love love

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, so being the hopeless romantic that I am I needed to draw a little in celebration!

I adore Miraculous Ladybug and I made a vow to myself that I would draw them for Valentine’s day.

I also wanted to include Tekken in my Valentine’s appreciation since I’m still working on my Tekken Series. So I did Ling Xiaoyu and Jin Kazama, updated in thier Tekken 7 outfits!

Painting a house

My most recent commission!
It was a private painting commission of the house that my client used to own. This was very good practice for me as I seldom draw anything without a human figure in it, and I seldom do realism. Despite my lack of practice I’m pleased with the results (those wood floors were a joy to paint!), and I’m even more pleased to say that my client was also pleased!

Imaginary Worlds

This was definitely the craziest 1 day turnaround I have ever done!!

Imaginary Worlds: Tales from Children Around the World

This is a book cover that I just finished illustrating for the non-profit organization Bookwallah www.bookwallah.org/
The book is not available yet, but it will be out soon~
When it comes I’ll post the link.

All done with my usual method: toothbrush and ink, brush and ink, and gouache

Cheers!

La Casa

I’m practicing a bit of graphic design. Here is a logo I designed for the non profit organization La Casa.

La Casa, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) specializing in domestic violence emergency shelter relief and comprehensive services to help families living with violence. Each year the plea for domestic violence services grows, and La Casa, Inc. is in need of funds to support these families in crisis.
La Casa, Inc. was founded in 1981 and is currently the largest shelter in the state of New Mexico

Aednat

The final painting from the sketch that I posted two weeks ago.
Aednat is a character that I created four years ago in my first illustration class. The assignment was to create a ‘patronus’, a creature that embodied our goals and stood for what we hoped to accomplish as artists. This is my little flame.

The Meadow

Earlier this year I had the joy of working on with Green Ivy Publishing and illustrated a children’s book for the time! It was a wonderful experience and I hope that I can illustrate many more books!
‘The Meadow’ by Julie Davis, and Illustrated by yours truly is available through Green Ivy’s online store.

ACEN 2016

This past weekend I had a booth at a convention for the first time and it was incredible!!! This is definitely going to be my life now! I’m so excited to do this again!
Getting a booth for ACEN this year was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

I sported 2 different cosplays over the span of my three day stay. Friday and Sunday I was Anna Williams from Tekken. It only felt fitting that I wear my Anna cosplay since I had Tekken prints. Saturday I was Queen Felicity from the series that my sister, Brittney, and I have been working on.
